Child Safety Policy

Maahir is committed to protecting minors who use our platform. This policy outlines the measures we take to keep children and teenagers safe.

1. Age-Appropriate Experience

• Users under 13 ("children") and 13–17 ("teens") are flagged automatically based on date of birth.
• Children are routed to age-appropriate content (Adventure Scenarios, kid-safe exercises).
• Adult-only topics (financial risk, legal conflict, harassment case studies) are filtered out for minors.

2. Parental Controls

• Parents or guardians can be granted read-only access to a student's progress via secure, tokenised links.
• Parents receive weekly progress summaries including time spent, modules completed, and assessment results.
• Parents may request account suspension by contacting the school administrator.

3. Content Moderation

• All user-generated content (forum posts, project uploads, comments) is reviewed by AI moderation before publishing.
• Content flagged for self-harm, exploitation, or abuse is escalated within 24 hours to a human moderator.
• Any content depicting minors in compromising situations is removed immediately and reported to the relevant authorities under Pakistani law.

4. Reporting Mechanisms

• Every piece of content on the platform has a "Report" button that any user can use anonymously.
• Reports involving child safety are treated as critical severity and reviewed within 4 hours.

5. Data Protection for Minors

• We collect only the minimum data needed: name, date of birth (for age tier), and parent/guardian contact.
• Biometric, location, and behavioural tracking data is never collected from minors.
• Minors' data is deleted 90 days after account closure unless legally required to retain.
