Voice-chat grooming, account theft, skin scams, toxic lobbies
Gaming is where strangers become "friends" fast โ voice chat, gifts, teams. That is exactly what predators and account thieves use. Learn the tricks: the teammate who asks one small personal question at a time, the "free skins" link that steals your login, the tournament that needs your password. Game hard, stay safe.

Real situations. Tap an answer, see what happens. (Gaming edition)
You are Hamza, 14, playing ranked matches in Lahore. A player named CoolUncle_99 added you yesterday, complimented your aim, and now asks in voice chat, โBro, where do you live? Send your WhatsApp so we can call properly, share our YouTube channel clips together.โ Youโre having fun in the lobby. He sounds friendly and older. He wants your number to keep chatting outside the game.
๐ก Adults who push you off-platform, ask for personal chats, or rush intimacy are red flags. Real teammates stay in the game. Keep voice chat on, but never share phone numbers, WhatsApp, or location with someone you met online. Report grooming behaviour, and if threats continue, contact NCCIA through 9911 for child safety cases.
You are Saad, 14, in Islamabad. Your ranked squad is down 4v6, and one teammate starts screaming slurs, then tells you to โgo back to your mohalla.โ Another says heโll throw the match if you donโt post your real photo in WhatsApp. Your KD tonight could tank, and the round is starting. The decision is yours now.
๐ก Mute first, report second, play third. Harassment loses power the moment you stop engaging. Good screen-name hygiene helps: never put your real name, school, or city in your gamer tag or avatar. Save serious threats and doxxing attempts, then report to NCCIA so Pakistanโs cybercrime agency can follow up.
You are Ayesha, 12, in Karachi. A player in your lobby DMs you a โFree UC generator 2026โ link with a CS:GO skin as proof. The site asks for your game username, password, and JazzCash PIN โto confirm region.โ The free skin is tempting, and two friends have already clicked. The decision is yours right now.
๐ก Any โfree skin or UCโ link asking for your password or a JazzCash PIN is a phishing trap, even if friends already clicked. Never reuse your main password, enable two-step login, and report the sender in-game. For serious account-theft attempts, save evidence and report to NCCIA so investigators can act.
You are Hamza, 13, in Lahore. A teammate named โProSniper99โ praises your aim, then says heโs also 13 and asks to hop on Discord. After a few nights, he pushes you to share your WhatsApp number, your school name, and which area you live in so he can โsend you a free skin.โ He reminds you not to tell your parents. The decision is yours tonight.
๐ก Friendly doesnโt mean safe, especially when an older player wants your phone number, school, or area. Keep personal details private, screenshot the chat, and tell a trusted adult right away. You can also report serious grooming attempts to NCCIA, Pakistanโs cybercrime agency, so they can act.
You are 15 in Islamabad. After a close match, a rival player starts spamming voice messages calling you slurs, mocking your city, and threatening to 'find you offline' using your gamertag. Three teammates leave; now he's solo flaming you in front of everyone. Your hands are shaking, and your parents are asleep. The match isn't ranked, and quitting is allowed. What do you do about this player tonight?
๐ก Targeted harassment with offline threats is not 'trash talk'; it is intimidation and potentially criminal. The winning move is to disengage immediately, mute, screenshot, and use the platform's report button. Tell a parent about offline threats. If anything feels like a real-world danger, report it to Pakistan's NCCIA.
You are 14 in Karachi. While scrolling a gaming Discord, a flashy post promises free elite skins and 5000 in-game coins if you 'log in within 10 minutes.' The link opens a page that looks exactly like your game's official login, except the URL ends in '.fun-claim.pk' and asks for your password plus a one-time code sent to your phone. Your cousin's account was stolen last month the same way. You only have a small data balance on Jazz. What do you click?
๐ก Real giveaways never ask for passwords or SMS codes, and timers are pure pressure tactics. Always type your game's URL yourself instead of clicking links, even from 'friends.' Strong, unique passwords plus two-step verification on your email stop 90% of account thefts. If you ever entered one, report it to the game and NCCIA.
You are 13, playing online in Lahore. A teammate with a cool voice keeps flattering your gameplay and asking where you go to school, your age, and which area you live in. He then suggests moving the chat to WhatsApp so he can 'share tournament tips' and wants to send you a small gift. He's being patient, friendly, and persistent. He keeps saying you don't need to tell your parents. You feel special but slightly uneasy. What is your next move in the lobby?
๐ก Groomers start with compliments and small questions, then push chats off-platform. Never share age, school, area, or phone number with online strangers, no matter how friendly. Leave lobbies, block them, save screenshots, and tell a parent. Report serious attempts on Pakistan's NCCIA cybercrime portal. Your safety beats being polite.
You are Bilal, 14, losing a clutch match in a public lobby in Islamabad. An opposing player starts streaming the replay, mocking your gameplay for his followers. Comments flood in with insults, some guessing your city or school from a wall poster glimpsed in the background of an older clip you shared. The toxicity is dragging on round after round.
๐ก Mute, block, and leave hostile lobbies instead of feeding the audience. Always blur backgrounds and remove old clips that show personal details. Reporting repeat offenders and saving evidence (screenshots, usernames) helps NCCIA act through 9911 if harassment crosses into threats.
You are Sara, 12, scrolling WhatsApp groups in Karachi. A friend forwards a flashy poster: 'Free 5,000 V-Bucks + skin pack, join the HBL Champions Cup, log in with your game ID to claim.' The link is short and the page shows familiar game colours. Your friend's account was just hacked last week.
๐ก Free currency posters are almost always phishing for your login. Always change passwords after a friend's hack, never click unfamiliar short links, and never enter game IDs on pages shared on WhatsApp. Report fake tournament pages and stolen accounts to NCCIA through 9911.
You are Hamza, 13, queueing ranked matches in Lahore. A teammate with a calm voice, calling himself 'BigBro-Ayan', plays well and asks your age. He says you sound mature and suggests a private Discord so he can coach you daily. He offers to send 'pro settings' through a file later tonight.
๐ก Strangers who praise you and ask private questions are using a classic grooming pattern. Never move chats off the game, never share age or personal details, and tell a trusted adult immediately. If pressure or files continue, report to NCCIA's Cybercrime Hotline 9911 so they can investigate safely.
After months of being bullied, you finally have support and want to help other kids who are targeted.
๐ก Your experience can become a strength. Supporting others, speaking up against bullying, and being kind turns your pain into purpose. Healing grows when you help others heal too.
Your friends pressure you to send a cruel message to a classmate, saying you are a coward if you refuse.
๐ก Sending cruel messages is cyberbullying, and refusing is real courage. Say no firmly, encourage your friends to be kind instead, and tell an adult if the pressure continues.
An entire class group chat turned against one student, flooding him with cruel messages all night.
๐ก When a whole group bullies one person, the harm is severe. Leave the chat, message the target privately with support, save evidence, and tell a trusted adult and the school immediately.
Students created a page dedicated to mocking a teacher with edited photos and cruel posts.
๐ก Mocking teachers online is cyberbullying that disrespects educators and can get students suspended. Do not follow or share the page, report it, and tell a trusted adult. Respect matters for everyone.

Scammed, threatened, blackmailed or hacked? Work top to bottom. Do not pay, do not delete.
Paying a blackmailer never ends it. Replying teaches the scammer you respond. Deleting chats destroys your own evidence. Take a breath and move to step 2.
Screenshot everything with the sender's number/username and time visible: chats, calls list, SMS, transaction receipts, URLs. Export the WhatsApp chat (Settings โ Chats โ Export). Write down amounts, dates and the number used.
Money sent? Call your bank or JazzCash/EasyPaisa helpline immediately (number on the back of your card / the official app) and ask them to block the card, freeze the account and recall the transfer. Note the complaint number they give you.
NCCIA (National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency) is Pakistan's cybercrime agency. File a complaint on the official NCCIA complaint portal or visit your nearest cybercrime circle โ bring your CNIC and the evidence from step 2. You can also call the cybercrime helpline 1991.
From a different (clean) device, change the password of the hacked account first, then everywhere you reused it. Turn on two-step verification (WhatsApp, email, bank apps). Check active login sessions and kick out unknown devices.
Shame belongs to the scammer, not you. Tell a parent, spouse, friend or teacher โ they can help you complete the steps and speak to NCCIA with you. For women and children, the Madadgar national helpline 1121 also guides you.
Helpline numbers and complaint links can change โ verify on the official NCCIA and PTA websites before sharing.
